I'm looking forward to my Third year at Dixie Motor Speedway and my Second at Owosso Speedway as official track videographer.
As with everything I do, it takes me a few tries before I get it right. When it comes to the content of my videos, it is easy to film the action at both of these great race tracks. BUT when it comes to the business side of things; customer service, editing and storage, postings to the internet, etc… I had to learn the hard way. This year is going to be a little different, if I can help it.
With that said, this year it is going to be easier to get your DVDs. As always each DVD is only $10.00. They will be available at the souvenir stand at Dixie and at the Taylored Art photo booth at Owosso OR You can get them by mail.
Just send a check or money order to: William Theobald 8426 Pineview Lake Dr., Apt. #113 Linden, MI 48451-8503 1 (810) 593-8694
INCLUDE: A note with the race date and track you want, along with your mailing address. I usually get your address off your envelope, but I have had a few show up a little mangled. Better safe than sorry. You will get your DVD in about 7 to 10 days.
You can reach me by email at:

I'm always open to suggestions, comments and criticism but, this is not the best way to order DVDs. So to avoid playing "email tag" just follow the steps above. I am always available if you have any questions or concerns, though on race day I am pretty busy. Send me a suggestion by email and if I use it I will send you a free DVD.
Check my You Tube Channel for periodic postings and hopefully weekly highlights at: http://www.youtube.com/user/DragonOnGraphics
This year is going to be great! See you at the track!! Theo Dragon On Graphics
William Theobald, known to most everyone as "Theo" of Dragon On Graphics has been the Official Videographer of the Dixie Motor Speedway since the start of the 2009 racing season. In addition, the 2009 campaign was the first season behind the camera for Owosso's sister track to the East, Dixie Motor Speedway.
"Filming at Dixie and Owosso is great fun considering I'm a life-long race fan. I have great respect for every racer I film and what they do on the track," Stated the 40-year-old. "I know I couldn't run as fast as they do without worrying about wrecking." "I've always said, I would have to wreck a car a full speed to know I could live through it, before I could put my foot all the way to the floor without holding back." He continued.
"So until I find someone crazy enough to let me wreck their car; I'm happy filming from a safe distance." "For the most part, I'm happy with the filming I've done so far. As with everything these days, money can fix all the problems I have when filming at the track." Theo added.
"But as a freelancer with the little equipment that I have, I do my best to cover all the action and tell the real story on the track. There could be three cameras at the track and you would still have trouble covering all the action. I'm always looking for ways to improve the video." He ended.
Theobald's background includes work as a fabricator/welder and robot programmer. In June of 2007, he graduated from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Southfield, Michigan. with 3.85gpa. Although his work primarily consisted of behind the scenes activity, he did spend time in front of the camera to learn how to be a newscaster.
After mulling over job offers from TV stations in Charlotte, North Carolina and Rapid City, South Dakota, Theo decided to stay in Michigan and is now considered one of the premiere videographers in short track racing in the state of Michigan. In addition to his racing, the Linden, Michigan resident has also had the opportunity to work on some Nationally Televised ventures including work as a boom-cam operator at a Detroit Lions preseason game.
He also worked for Pinks ALL OUT on SPEED at the Milan Dragway in Milan, Michigan. "That was a great learning experience, to see first-hand what it takes to produce a 'racing' show." He said. From security and catering, production lighting and registering drivers, Theo had a hand in just about all aspects of the Pinks television show.
He was also a Production Assistant on the "Transformers" movie when they shot in Detroit, Michigan and was an extra in the movie "Stone" starring Edward Norton and Robert DeNiro shot at Jackson State Penitentiary due to be released in 2010 as he was in a scene with Norton in a prison yard where he actually trips the accomplished actor.
