As the 2010 racing season draws ever so closer at the Dixie Motor Speedway, divisional sponsors are being finalized and one more has stepped up in support of the historic Birch Run, Michigan speed plant and is a well known and local name in the community.
The Birch Run / Bridgeport Herald is on board with the 62-year-old facility as the title sponsor of the Birch Run / Bridgeport Herald Bombers for the upcoming campaign. A part of the Genesee County Herald family of newspapers, the Birch Run / Bridgeport Herald is a weekly periodical that has covered the events in Birch Run, Bridgeport, and surrounding areas since April of 1985.
The Mount Morris / Clio Herald and the Crossroads Advertiser are also part of the Genesee County Herald conglomerate. The Genesee County Herald was founded in 1933 to serve as a weekly newspaper for rural Genesee County, USA.
As rural markets grew and became more populated, The Herald became more focused on Northern Genesee County and in particular the communities of Mt. Morris and Clio as well as the surrounding townships, school districts, and so on. In fact, the name of the newspaper was formally changed to the Mt. Morris / Clio Herald to reflect that local focus.
In the early 1980's, to augment the paid circulation Herald, they launched a new shopping guide known as The Crossroads Advertiser. This new publication offered a very affordable means for businesses, both small and large, to get their advertising messages delivered to every door step in the area.
The Birch Run / Bridgeport Herald began its weekly service to southern Saginaw County in 1985 and quickly became a household name and a voice for the communities it serves. Publisher Mike Harrington and his long line of experienced and dedicated staff members have helped some of even the smallest local businesses become successful.
They take pride in their customers' success and on offering each of them the personal attention they deserve when it comes to their marketing needs. Today, the combination of two paid circulation newspapers, which are the legal newspapers of record for their respective communities, and the total market coverage of The Crossroads Advertiser shopping guide, gives you the one-two punch unavailable elsewhere in the market.
The Birch Run / Bridgeport Herald Bombers division is one of the most hotly contested divisions at the track as they challenge the historic adjoining 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked paved oval located inside the fast 4/10s (0.400) mile progressively banked paved oval. The Birch Run / Bridgeport Herald Bombers feature rookie drivers looking to jump start their careers as well as grizzled veterans in the racing world, each with an equal shot at claiming the checkered flag.
The Birch Run / Bridgeport Herald’s offices are located at: 10098 North Dort Highway in Clio, Michigan and can be reached over the phone by calling toll free at: 1 (800) 352-1919. The local line is: 1 (810) 686-3840. You can also log onto their website as well at: www.myhearld.net
